Kardos, Pető and Törőcsik Law Firm

Our Law Firm was established on 01 June 1992, and has been operating in its present form since 01 January 1996.

Our team is composed by four attorneys forming a partnership, two candidate attorneys at law and three further colleagues supporting our activities by performing administrative tasks (an office manager and legal assistant; an administrator and typist and an administrator).

At present - exploiting the possibility to train candidates - our Law Firm also employs two university students who participate in our everyday activities. This represents no novelty for our Firm, since we have always been happy to offer opportunities of development for university students aiming to gain professional experience, so providing a number of future colleagues a chance to take part in and contribute to our work has been a several year long tradition for us.

The primary focus of our professional activities lies in the regular legal representation of various types of enterprises and business organisations. Within this area we engage in investment related questions and performing representation in the areas of labour law and tax law as well as completing tasks related to company law. Beyond our clients from Szeged, we also receive assignments from all over the country concerning a wide variety of legal issues.

Our Law Firm performs the legal representation of various high-tech enterprises. We have extensive experience in managing the legal affairs of companies active in the fields of software development, biotechnology and health care.

Furthermore, we have been providing comprehensive legal services for different major real estate investment projects in Budapest, Szeged and the Balaton area. This activity created a link for our Law Firm through which it joined organizing major enterprises in the field of tourism.

In two counties our Law Firm was responsible for the representation of the Hungarian State via cooperation with the National Land Fund and consequently, we actively participated in the process of utilizing and selling state-owned agricultural land. We are particularly experienced in handling issues and affairs related to arable land and preparing relevant contracts. Based on the assignment of National Property Management Inc., we still continue to perform this activity.

Our clients include major trade companies as well as multi-level marketing networks.

We have actively participated in the establishment of numerous public service foundations and associations, and we place special emphasis on supporting pro bono goals.

Our fluent English knowledge represents a great asset for our clients in maintaining legal relations with international investors.
